I was gonna ask if people are dealing OK with the death, I think you mentioned your mom might take it rough, hopefully there is some peace about it.

I know it's easy for me or an outsider to say platitudes about her being a pretty old lady and having a good long life, but like I said, it's easier for someone disconnected to feel that way about it.

Heck... to get into the 90's is pretty impressive, I'm really hoping if I could make it to the late 70's early 80's, I'd call that a good shot.

I worked with a guy that I've known somewhat casually for 10 to 12 yrs and he died a few yrs ago at 57 and I thought, damn.... that's just too damned young, my mom passed at 62 and that's on the younger side, at least these days, people are going into the late 70's and early 80's pretty commonly, I know one of the SIL's her dad is 93, he's really getting up there, this old man, LOL, he was a burly long shore man type for a million yrs, this old man, his hearing is so bad that he couldn't hear two skeletons having sex on a tin roof with soup cans for a rubber during a hailstorm.....

Sort of half expecting the phone call these days with him, he's doing pretty good overall, but at some point the ol ticker gives way. This old man had a good hell of a long retirement with lots of money and trips to Vegas and the like under his belt.

One can only be so lucky.....

This time around when my time comes, i'm gonna try to outlive Methuselah, who lived to be 969 years young.

We had pizza last night. There was nothing left in the fridge to make a meal with.

I am making these right now, in the oven as I type...they look pretty but we'll see how they taste. It's a trial run for one of the Thanksgiving desserts I'm making.

It's getting chilly outside. Like an idiot I've been heading out on a regular basis. I am glad my employer issued me a black heavy Carhartt jacket.

The other whizz cutter about today, I thought it would be a good idea to drive my pickup. Uh huh. The blower motor isn't blowing. The car has heated seats that are really nice this time of year.
