Has anyone ever known of any men who managed to marry into money? If so, did they all seem to be the "stereotypical" Gigilo type or did any have personalities or traits that did not all fit the stereotype?
I can think of a few guys who married into money that were borderline sociopaths and used women, but that might just be a coincidence.
But they were specifically marrying for the sake of the money and not because they were really into the woman.
Hopefully, karma will get them back. I feel so terrible for those poor women.
Several of my husband's friends married into money, but none of them were gigolos. They are all regular guys, who are totally chill about having a wife who is either the breadwinner or got a nice inheritance. Some are the underachiever types, but I don't get the sense that any of them married for money.
I think in general, people of the same socioeconomic class end up with each other. Sure there are exceptions, but if you come from some old money family, you are most likely not going to end up with someone who works at a fast food joint.
So, upper class ends up with upper class. Middle class with middle class.
Some people who are very famous were men who married into money: George Washington, Robert E. Lee, and John Kerry come to mind. I honestly don't think all three of those men are that much alike other than they were political. Then there are those men who marry much older (and richer) female celebrities (you can google those there are tons of them). I don't think most of them have anything on common with the likes of George Washington.
