CrystalBlue - The question is somewhat vague becuase you mentioned "A relationship", but is that a companionship/courting type of relationship or marriage?
I know I'm being a party spoiler here, but I stick to the Christian principles of intimacy, and I don't believe in pre-marital sex. It is unfortunate that the majority of people base their relationships on the sexual aspects, rather than more important things. No wonder our divorce rate is high.
And to answer the question, there is no ideal frequency, I'd be just as happy being intimate with my wife once a year, as I would be a few times a week, it's irrelevant.

Unfortunately, my ex-husband and the father of my daughter and the couple of other men I was involved with in my lifetime must have been from another planet then because I was rejected lots when I tried to start anything. So much so, that my fiance now has had to reassure me that it's okay to want and enjoy sex.

if thats the only time you'd be active, thats your choice.
I'm 25 and use to want it daily. Now that I ended a 2 year relationship...I've become real lazy when it comes to sexual activities. My last partner was a virgin and very boring...so I got use to it. It has been a good six months and I've been with three different girls, but I can't get back into the friskiness I once had. lol
I'm busy and am only bale to hook up on weekends now. So basically twice a week.
I voted for a few times a week, which is what I am getting now. I've been married for almost one year and have been with hubby for two years now and in spite of being married....we still have a good amount of sex...hasn't really changed. Yes, I know things supposedly change regarding sex and marriage but I guess it depends on the couple. I plan on keeping my sex life like this even when we have kids and I know hubby feels the same way.
