Under normal circumstances, I don't think there is any excuse for anyone to hit someone else (unless in extreme self-defense).
However, this seems to be such a different and exceptional situation. I don't think this woman (while on labor, in the hospital bed and in agony) might have had the time to think what happened. While most repliers were understanding of the situation there were these two male posters suggesting that they would still reply back. That's gotta be so sick...hitting back someone that's in the hospital bed and in such a delicate state.
Let it go... I doubt this is a real thread.... most normal people blow off stuff like this, we all get that stuff happens in the heat of the moment....

Birth or not, resorting to smacking someone in the face in front of others is pretty tactless
My wife never had her state of being so altered during birth that she would have even gone their, and if she did it would have been a hit to the hand to give it back not a shot to the face.
People who are in excruciating pain, and have been enduring that for (according to the linked post) half an hour or more, in the process of giving birth, are not in a position to consider tact.
