laorbust61 - I think you hit it on the dot. It was a white lie, but there definitely seems to be some larger issues at hand that maybe if not this, there would have been something else later on that would have still driven us apart.

A lie....is still a lie. You lied to her. How is she supposed to trust you so soon? Trust needs to be earned. Across the board.

Were you married? If not I suggest to move on because trust is the most important thing in a relationship. Really sounds to me that she did trust you before you went really.

I can imagine that even if you guys get back together, she may not have forgotten what happened in the past and may use it against you again if you have a fight. She may not even verbally bring it up, but she would probably think that you didn't change.

Just my personal assumption.
