Yea we all want to look good online, we'll use pics of our good sides/angles/whatever, but I never understood why someone would use photos of themselves when they were much lighter. Do they think that if they can get the person to meet them, they might fall for their personality and not mind their weight? Are they just trying to get as many first dates as possible? It happened to me maybe once or twice, and it just annoyed me that they did that. I felt lied to and didn't want to see them again. Does anybody end up liking someone who did this to them? It feels like a waste of time for both parties.

Some people honestly do believe the other person won't mind the 'sudden' weight gain! Lol. As if...

They think everyone should be accepting of a surprise whale greeting them for dinner if they make a connection.

OP: You know why. I mean, in practice, it's silly and misleading, but you know exactly why.

Taking a selfie at arms length may not get everything.

Better just dig out an older pick before selfies.

All the guys I've met have looked like their photos for the most part. I definitely try to keep my photos recent. I updated them over the weekend just because I changed my hairstyle.

No. If I click on "athletic" or "average" and then a 300 lbs guy shows up, that is unacceptable. For the first 10 times I suffered through the date. Every guy after I told him right away that he is wasting my time and left without even sitting down.

Hint: if he says he is 40 but looks like 25 on his pictures, you can assume that they were taken at least 50 lbs ago.
