It's the U.S. overall and the negative stereotypes that are constantly broadcasted all over the media about black women.
Just look at these posts.
Black woman is direct with opinions .... "abrasive 'sista soulja', mean, witchy, tactless, nasty"
White woman is vulgar and insulting with opinions .... "verbose, strong, smart, a challenge, bona fide, formidable"
So is life.
It must be etched in stone somewhere that people are in real life exactly as theyre perceived to be on the internet because a bunch of people are making presumptions about me and never spent a second in my company to know a darn thing. Not to mention their posts are irrelevant since there is no debate in my interactions with strangers. There is no strong opinion. There is no substantial conversation to make this judgment that "they dont have time for that attitude" anyway.
Asking the forum was a stupid idea. Of course the jealous, hateful, passive aggressive REAL witches of the world would chime in on how many negative character judgments about a complete stranger they can come up with in two posts or less. Have at it, whatever you assume me of being is just a mirror of yourself.
Anybody with helpful tips on initiating chit chat with guys, since approaching is admittedly a shortcoming of mine, would be useful.
I could've told you that lol. That's why I haven't given a thought to making a thread for myself. It's just a bunch of posters waiting in the weeds to take pot shots on you, with some advice advice tossed in there.

It's all a bunch of B.S. I have seen this occur so often. Just know that you are absolutely beautiful and you shouldn't change a thing about yourself.
If you have a strong personality, that should be a plus, you shouldn't be criticized for being smart and having an opinion.

True and more than half of them are probably extremely hideous.
First of all it really was not a stupid thing for her to do. She opened herself up on a forum she's comfortable posting on and asked for help. Instead she was hit with stupid people and people looking to attack her, and a few posters who probably posted honestly and tried giving some advice.
You make a thread like this knowing there will be some amount of bad, but you hope that there will be more good than bad. This usually is not the case on CD, which is unfortunate.
And knowing how long I've been here, knowing what other posters most likely think about me, should I make a thread with my own issues and problems, my thread would be closed within' 3 pages or less from all the flaming and attacks. Why the hell would I want to do that? On top of that, the advice given would be really generic, because most people have no idea what it's like to live in an area as ass backwards as my town is, and the stuff I post here is just a small percentage of the **** I have to put up with just from living my own life.
So, to hell with that, I'm smart enough to figure it out on my own. And if I don't, I'll go out with a blaze of ****ing glory.
YIUPPY: Another thing that I'm sure you've figured out is, DC has a plethora of homosexuals. If you are located around Georgetown, know that most of those guys go both ways or prefer men.
So, wait, the only possible explanations, according to you, are that she's black and living surrounded by gay men?
Okay. Seems much more likely than any possible behavioral explanation.
