Browse the "personals" and maybe get some nookie once in a while.
Aside from browsing the personals, this is what I do. But I'm not fulfilled. I want to share my life with someone else. I mean hell, I'm 42. You'd think I would have someone by now. Is the answer to settle? I can't accept that.

Divorced 12 years ago, engaged 5 years ago, countless girlfriends in between. I can't find the one for me. I can't find a woman who I truly connect to. Now I'm lonely and I'm wondering if I'm going to end up spending the rest of my life alone. My family just encourages me to pick one and make a go of it, but I can't. I haven't met the girl that makes me want to invest my life in her.
Any advice?
32 never been married no kid's...looks like I will end up like you're lonely ars!

There is something that needs healing within your heart, I think. Have you tried to talk to a therapist? Maybe you still have unresolved issues with your divorce or other past relationships.
I don't understand your question. What do you mean 'what happens'?
Well, you said that you only date women in their 20's because you aren't attracted to women your own age. So - what happens when those women that are in their 20's now turn 30 or 40? I'm not trying to be mean - I'm just wondering how long it's going to last once she starts to look older if you don't find women over 30 attractive.

"There is something that needs healing within your heart." Sort of a generic assessment, but i'm curious what would make you think that about me. Is it the fact that I'm 42 and single? As far as my divorce, which was a decade ago, I've fully accepted it. There is no residual pain from it. Therapy? I mean, do I really seem that lost to you?
You get old, tired, boring, too slow to keep up, and she spots someone her age or younger.
My life revolves around physical activity, recreation and travel. I don't see how tired, boring or too slow would become an issue anytime soon. The old thing though, I mean, I'm obsessively fit, not that that encompasses all that comes along with getting old. But yeah, I suppose it's a possibility that she could wake up at 35 one day and see a 50 year old man laying next to her and wonder why I look better than her.

This, exactly. You do realize, Johnny, that women don't stay 22 forever, right?
