If it has been a while since you cooked, why don't you keep it simple, that isnt going to cause any embarrasing slop moments. I would go for a simple beef or seafood lasagne, green salad and garlic bread, with a lovely well chilled bottle of sauvignon blanc. I'd like it anyway if someone cooked it for me, but am never that lucky. Always doing the cooking!!!!

ETA:i just read your follow up comments about being an expert in the cooking department. You should be fine then
