flowers are nice to give, but the problem with live ones is that they die in fairly short order. however, these ARE something you can give out on a first date;
the cool thing is that you can spray them with you scent, what ever after shave you use, what ever deodorant you use, etc. that way she will carry your scent with her to her place, and she will subconsciously think about you when that flower is within her scent range. plus the flower never dies so she isnt throwing it away after a few days.
Roses are a bit too much for a first date, pick another flower that's more "casual" like tulips, daisies, carnations, etc.
