She's helped me through so much and just taking her out of my life. Lately so many people have left it and one less person I might fall into a bad depression.

People come and go all the time.
You'll survive. Your emotional state should never depend on another person. EVER.

you might fall into a deep depression when you start thinking about all the people your ex is sleeping with besides you (and just not telling you about it). FWB with an ex is a bad idea. Move on with your life, you'll find someone else who doesn't lie to you. She's an ex for a reason right?
Being "fwb" with your ex means you are not back together, nor official, which leaves you both free to meet/date other people... Remember that. Why even put her through that drama just to cut her out of your life?! If she's a real deal friend, don't take that for granted. Have patience & at least try to make amends and/or peace with the situation you both created. Moving forward...

Put your big boy pants on and grow up. So someone else dated her, get over it.
If so many people have left your life you need to look at why.
