I agree with the other posters that it depends how overwheight. A man can be overweight but still look and feel healthy and strong. Personality is always the key factor and if I'd like that and there would also be physical attraction, I would of course date an overweight man.

Women date overweight guys all the time, even if they're significantly overweight and don't look look strong/healthy. But here's the thing; they don't marry those guys, generally. If the guy is very smart, talented (this especially goes for musicians, artists, other creative types), interesting, they'll date him. But unless he has his act together and is doing decently in his field and has a personality women can live with, they won't stay with him for long. But they'll date him, because he's interesting company.

Not more than 20 lbs overweight. I believe that being overweight is usually indicative of an untreated problem, either emotional or physical.

I guess I'm surprised that women can be as shallow as men.

Why is it shallow to not want to date someone who you don't find attractive?

I don't think I ever dated an overweight man. Once in awhile a SO might have put on a few extra pounds, but none of them were ever fat.

So no.

No, I will not get sucked into that lifestyle. More problems down the road. I work hard at keeping slim and I was heavy once, so I won't go there.
