No, wait until you are settled. It's way way too long a wait. I get this from women from time to time (I'll be moving there in Sept etc) and they're done. Out. Deleted. If you do OLD you have to be willing and able to meet ASAP.
I agree with waiting. I have tried making contacts in advance of a relocation (or even right after a relocation) through online dating, and it just didn't work out for various reasons -- not the least of which was that I was much too busy moving/getting settled in a new city/starting a new job to be able to give proper attention to meeting new people. Wait until you're situated for a minute or two before you begin trying to connect with dating prospects.
Planning on moving to a new city in early November.
Would it make sense to start looking online for potential matches in the new city right now?
Thinking that 2 months is way too much time to be communicating over the phone without seeing
the other person face to face.
Is it worth the hassle?
Nah, you won't keep their interest up long enough without actually meeting them.
