What would cause someone not to be able to find a specific user on OKC?
My best friend and I are both currently on the site and a couple of weeks ago, I made a comment in passing I was curious as to what our match percentage was during a discussion on the ideal match percentage. This past weekend, he asked if I had found his profile yet to see how we matched. I told him I had not.
I logged on and did a search for his username and got an error message there were no profiles with that username. He logged on and did a search for my username and got the same error message. I then did a search just on his age and zip code and he didn't pop up there either.
We are in each other's age and distance ranges and we have both been on the site recently (as in within the last week). He has never come up in a search for me nor has he appeared in the emails with my matches; he did say it's possible I came up in a search for him and he hid my profile since he already knows me. I asked if it was possible that he blocked me and he said no and that there wouldn't be any reason to do so.
Why don't you just e-mail each other direct profile links?

Sending direct links didn't occur to us, but now that you mention it, well, duh. And as I said in my OP, we both tried typing in each other's username and both got an error message that no one existed with that username.

Can you contact site admin, and ask why there's this problem? Seems the site isn't functioning well for its purpose if this issue is coming up.

Yea if it bothers you that much, this is what I would do. I had an issue like this as well, but not on OKC, on match. A guy I was messaging with was unsearchable, meaning he wouldn't come up in searches when I would enter his criteria, I chalked it up to him being in "private mode" on the site, not sure if OKC has a similar feature.
