If your groin is muscular, more blood pumps through it = better erections
more muscle also means a man can hold back an orgasm for longer, for the same reasons, and working out the groin also strengthens the hair trigger.
Ive never ever seen a PT use this as a way to hook a fat customer - but rather, the customer is already working out and notices a change, which he mentions - "dya know, I seem to be able to last a bit longer in bed" when the trainer then says "yes indeed and heres why so work harder!"
Its actually almost a secret, oddly enough. I've seen it mentioned on Biggest Loser a couple of times though.

There is so much misinformation here that I I don't even know where to start.
First of all, the OP was asking about ED, not lasting longer. To that end, being overweight DOES increase ones risk of ED, but as many have stated (and should be obvious), it's not all-encompassing.
Secondly, there are 2 ways one can interpret "lasting longer" for men:
a) Being able to hold off an orgasm
b) Being able to pursue sexual activity longer without tiring.
Being fit will assist with b). It will do nothing for a), regardless of what your gym trainer will tell you. You do not use your muscles to stave off an orgasm, nor can one strengthen their "hair trigger". Tantric exercises and the like can allow one to calm themselves to avoid orgasm, but that's a totally different thing.
Not a single educated PT I know says this. Gym trainers are hardly mutually inclusive with that demographic.
