This is the time for those weird happenings. 'Anyone out there have any crazy/funny stories relating to family visiting for Thanksgiving?

My wife and I are spending Thanksgiving alone with our kids this year, we've gotten weary of her dad's crazy conspiracy theories, hearing about how corrupt and unjust the United States is, how he should not have to pay for anything (he is retired), and how much better things are in Argentina! Argentina, the bankrupt country who has defaulted in the past!

A few years ago at the family gathering, he was having a conversation with a 10 year old... and the subject of continents came up. He was so irate and in disbelief that there were seven continents! The child (my nephew) named them, and 'mad grandpa' went on to ridicule him, and his teachers because of it... he said there were only five. Now I recall when there really were only five, but times have changed. My brother in law had enough after grandpa told my nephew that his teachers were stupid, and got into a shouting match with him... it escalated and my brother-in-law told him to 'get the f***' out of the house and leave! Everyone stood in silence, not because they were shocked at what just happened, but that someone finally had enough and told him to shut up and leave. You have to know, he argues with everyone at every gathering and out of respect, we don't **** him off.

Anyway, that was not crazy, or funny... but thought I'd share one for you. The bad feelings only lasted a few days, my brother-in-law called to apologize... and brought him some nice wine... the catalyst of all his blabber! Happy Thanksgiving!
