I am 21 and I walk to the nearby bus stop to wait for the bus to get me to work and on the same path there is a nearby school full of these middle school aged girls that are aged between 12-14 obviously way too young for me, they always come up to me and ask me for my number and I always respond telling them sorry, but I am too old for you and you can ask someone in your own school your age for a number, but they wont let me go so they keep begging me, they think I am handsome and good looking, I try my best to ignore them but they wont stop coming up to me and following me, pretty much harassing me for my number I guess, I don't know if I should talk to their school principal about them leaving the school premises by following me on my way to work to the bus stop nearby, it doesn't seem they care about their students. I just want to try my best to avoid these girls so I wont get in trouble and look like some pedophile or predator talking to girls ages 12-14. I try my best to avoid them but their is no shortcut to the nearest bus stop, I had to take a long walk to the next bus stop just to avoid them.
I would not go the principal. What is he or she going to do anyway? You are an adult. Ignore them. Or get yourself a vehicle, then you would not have to use the bus and thus avoid middle school girls.
Use a different bus stop. A longer walk is good exercise.
Or
Use the oldtime female dodge...tell them you are gay. Women used to do that all the time before men were all into that. Now if a woman tells a man she's gay, they are probably more attracted.
They have a collective crush on you. Maybe notifying the principal isn't a bad idea, except you don't know their names, do you? Still, reporting the behavior (leaving school grounds is probably against the rules) would at least indicate that you're not encouraging the behavior, and that it's unwanted. That would be an important message to get on record with a school authority.
At 21 you should have a car, not be riding the bus. This would solve the problem with the little girls, and would also be much more convienent.
"Convenient" except for the car payments, insurance payments, gas and maintenance, plus the consumption of a fossil fuel. Few 21-yr-olds can afford a car. I know of no rule that says they "should" have a car.
Your choices at the moment, OP, are:
1) Report the annoyance to the principal, and explain the girls are leaving school grounds and following you.
2) Choose a different bus stop
3) Vary your schedule
Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
