Just because internet porn exists does not mean that prudes in a marriage get a get out of jail free card. Having sex once a day and licking or sucking someone where ever they want is not "sex addiction".
I suppose if you start getting into swinging and 3 somes where that was agreed to not happen in the marriage that could be considered "sex addiction". When I went to chuch with my ex years ago we started having problems and there were these "small groups" where the women considered some pretty basic stuff and reasonable frequency to be "sex addiction" just because they didn't want to do ti.
Sex addiction is an actual thing, just like bipolar disorder is an actual thing. But of course a lot of people accuse each other of being "bipolar" when they're just in a bad mood.
The important point is that not all cheaters are sex addicts. Not by a long shot.

It's not about a free card. The problem is you are stuck on this honest bit. Forget that. People will do what they do and the more they are exposed to, it may trigger things.
Cause if that is the case, women shouldn't mind men watching porn. Again, stop thinking about the action but focus on the motive. It doesn't come from one place.
When you are out at a nightclub drinking, people sometimes smoke. Smoking is poison and worse than cheating. But people are triggered by the outside elements. Stop thinking permission and start thinking preventative measures.

You are absolutely correct but we have never studied triggers of exposure to today's progressive content. What triggers all these people at an alarming rate to upload videos of themselves? It's really new.
We don't think about this because this is new. This is nothing like ever before. I can literally have my own porn tube and send you a private message with a link to it. That is crazy...
So what level of porn watching is "addiction"? I agree if you are watching porn so much that your job and relationship suffer its an issue, but 20 min a day 30 min a day?
Too many flippantly use the term "addiction" or "mental illness" who are not qualified too. Yes if the person has been legitimately diagnosed with 1 to 2 separate medical professional concurring then thats a basis.
I get that my experiences are anecdotal and I am just from a bumpkin area with an old bumpkin church but I highly doubt that people are going and getting proper medical diagnoasis when they throw these terms around.
Just because I watch a porn does not mean I want to go have a 3 some or cheat on my wife. I may want my wife to do other things just the 2 of us and thats not wrong or an addiction. It could result in sexual incompatability but again thats not "addiction". If someone does not want to perform a one on one sex act that the other person really likes then the person withholding is the one being selfish.

There are many different lame excuses that drives a cheating partner.
It's only lame because you deem it so, not because all reasons are actually not legitimate.
