Miss Manners says it is bad manners to point out other peoples' bad manners.

Do you just turn the page and forget the person? Or do you send a message with something like, "Be more considerate of other people's time and don't make dates you don't intend on keeping." etc. ???

Title to thread should read: What is the proper response to same day date cancellation?

How about a response like: "Hope everything is fine we can go another time, let me know when".
If you are interested in trying for another date, if not the response should be "Okay" and move on.

"Outside a nightclub"? So, just a few minutes then?

Yeah. She isn't interested, and she's rude to boot. Move on to the next one.

Cancelling a first date - unless it's a believable emergency - is a no-no with me. You don't get a second chance at making a first impression.

Update to thread: I actually texted her with, "It is rude to make plans and cancel the same day. Please be more considerate of other people's time."

She actually responded with a brief apology but still offered up no excuse...like a sick relative or whatever. I have yet to reply to her reply.....

Dude that's desperate. She found something better to do and now you look like your life is turned upside down over it.

Well perhaps. Not too worried about it though. I have a date tomorrow night with a woman who certainly brings more to the table than this one.

Until she cancels?

Was it really necessary to send that text? Did it accomplish anything? Did it make you feel better?
Do you really think it had any impact on the one you sent it to?
