We're planning to live in a off unit part of my future MIL place where only playing $300 of rent a month, food, and utilities. Additionally, when my fiancé finishes college probably make about $25 an hour about $3 more an hour than myself.

As of right now combined bills is about $1500 a month.

Fiancé flips back and forth wanting kid's right after the wedding. I told my fiancé what about waiting till we finish college and more stable.

I mean if we have kids in between I be okay with that.

Fiancé is upset that I want to wait for kid's till 30/31.

What's your thoughts on the situation?
Is your fiancee a really a 90 year old in a 20-something body? Having kids young was what they did back when you could buy a house for 5K, 10K max, and a person with a HS diploma could get a good paying blue collar job. In other words, ages ago.

It's better to have kids younger in life. Do you want to be raising teenagers into your 50s? I would start having kids as soon as possible.

If youre not ready to have kids, stand your ground and don't. Use a condom and flush it down the toilet after use.

Unless you have a septic system. Then don't do this.

Technology has advanced sure, but don't forget that if you need help conceiving, that's going to cost $ too. And it ain't cheap!

Also, this is probably one of the most personal/important decisions you will make in your life so I would take any advice given here with a grain of salt. I married a career woman and we waited until we hit our 40s to have our kids. We had twins 3 days before our 15th anniversary. We made this decision together and thought that if we didn't have kids because we waited too long, we still had each other and that would be enough. It would have been fine, but we were fortunate. And like I said, it wasn't cheap.

Her body her rules, eh? That's a problem.

I'd way rather that than be a grandma in my 50s. Just me.

And just jump right into the debt hole that there is no digging out of?

Even the "social conservative" Dr. Laura agrees with me.

Don't have kids if you can't afford it yet.

She even goes further saying don't get married if money is a challenge.

What is not being able to afford kids?
Being on welfare or not make 650K?
Is there a middle ground.
