I have been talking to this guy for about two months now. We do plan to be official in the near future when we are both ready. It's Christmas time, and I'm not sure what to get him. I don't want it to be too SERIOUS of a gift or too LAME of a gift. I want to impress him somehow....

Talking is getting to know someone, kissing, hugging...being more than friends.
Official is when you're under the title 'boyfriend, girlfriend'
How about DATING, and NOT DATING. You aren't dating the guy? Yes, or no? If not, then I'd not bother with a gift. Otherwise, homebaked goodies sounds appropriate.
Have you even f'd him yet? If not, you should put out. It'll make a more memorable xmas gift.
