So when you meet a 30 year old woman you like (as a friend or more) and find out months later in casual conversation that she was in a college sorority a decade ago, do you run screaming out of the restaurant?
Now I wouldn't. I just had a nice conversation with one an hour ago while waiting for class to start.
I don't think anyone is offended, just genuinely puzzled. How exactly do you ascertain who was a "sorority girl" when she was an undergrad? Is it something that comes up when you first speak with someone?

I saw the Greek lettering on her shirt and put two and two together lol.
To the sorority girl's I offended I apologize because I can't let stereotypes cloud my judgment. I'm sorry for my offensive comments.

This. I wasn't offended by any of your comments, just thought it was sad that if we met at the gym (since that seems to be CD-R's choice meeting place these days), had a nice conversation, you would eventually denounce me for a decision I made 20 years ago. But I also shrugged it off. "Eh, more room for someone else to come along."
I was an incredibly shy girl from a very broken home. Being in the house, having the support of my sisters, being encouraged by them and our advisors and ultimately holding officer positions in the Chapter did WONDERS for bringing me out of my shelf. And as I said earlier, I slept with a total of 2 men the entire time I was in college.

That's why I knew my comments were unnecessary. Just because I have had bad experiences with a few women doesn't mean I should take it out on innocent women. That's why I apologized.
So you transferred from a community college? That is even more puzzling that you have such a strong, negative view of women who were in a sorority.
Yes I did. But foolishly I went by stereotypes and generalizations instead of actually talking to one. When I finally did and saw how nice and sweet she was my view changed.
Actually, you also said that they were "passed around" which is really disgusting. Why on earth would you say that about people you've never even spoken to? Would you appreciate someone saying that about your mother or sister?
