I got my husband sweaters, an DNA thing to test his ancestory, new warmer gloves, and a gift card for car washes. So romantic. He got me an iMac Pro. But mostly because my computer died 6 months ago and I have been borrowing his and using my iPad for so long. So it was a great gift but also practical. We would have eventually had to buy me a new computer anyways. He also got me a set of glass mixing bowls that I asked for specifically. He isn't allowed to give me household things unless I ask for them specifically.
For few reasons. One, I am not a house. Yes, its my job to care for the house. But I am not a house. So if my husband buys me towels...I am not excited. It isn't gift for me really, is it? Its a gift for the family to use. If he buys me a vacuum, its a tool for my job. I don't get him gifts for his work. I buy stuff for him for him.
So...thats one.
Second...because the house is my job and I know it inside and out, I know I don't want/need random house stuff. I don't need another blender. I don't have a space for it, I won't use it. If I wanted a blender, I would make sure I had the shelf space for one, research the features I wanted, and then ask specifically. I asked for a set of nesting mixing bowels partly because he wanted me to have a few gifts under the tree, not just the computer (although that was more then plenty). But also I was pretty much out of mixing bowls and I had a space set aside for them in my kitchen.
So we have an agreement, he doesn't buy me household stuff unless I ask specifically. We have the same rule about jewelry. And that is because I hardly wear it and I am very picky.

Well, whatever works I guess.
My husband bought me a kitchen appliance for my birthday and I love it and still use it. We both use it. I'm not offended at all. But I also love gadgets - I think more than he does.
I got him a pair of dark brown overalls and a variety of cool socks, gloves, and high-tech underwear; and a Japanese red maple tree that he really wanted. We used it for our Christmas tree and decorated it with a few of our favorite holiday baubles. It goes in our garden later this week.
He bought me some Frye boots and a bunch of pajamas, including several pairs of my own flannel boxers.
Technically he got some new cologne, but our real present was both of us taking Monday off, but still sending the kids to school.
😈😈😈😂😂😂👍👍👍 LOL
OP as I don't have a missus this Xmas I spent a fortune on my best female friend as she had a miscarriage few weeks ago so
