19-year-old-me definitely needed this advice. I'm better these days, but as you can see, I had to go through a bit of a learning period.

I've been told that more than once! Haha!

You really aren't the least bit amusing. And yeah, I'm sure this happened, and I'm sure the loss prevention dude at a lumber yard is told they're the subject of a sex dream a lot.

Sure.

Right!

Her girlfriends were probably talking and they said, "Where should she go if she wants some wood?"

All say it together, "A lumber store!!"

"Most guys are there too!!"

There are space cadets out there, but I think with the lumber store manager, it's his job. He might get tired.

I don't think I've ever hinted. After a certain age though I was picky I did become boy crazy. Guys in school are no big deal. It should be easy to ask them out but I never like to draw attention to myself. The best I have done is stare at them from another table and if they catch me staring I look away. I figure if the guy really liked me he would ask me out. In some situations it may get complicated but even then I know the probability is unlikely for a man to not want to try and overcome those obstacles. So I do my best to hide my feelings every time...
Granted being reserved it would be hard for a guy to be interested I suppose but even so physical attraction tends to come first and I have never saw myself as pretty. It's funny though because there was one guy that I was crushing on in school and I recall he didn't catch on til near graduation which was 2 years later and he was apparently going to ask me out. By then I had already lost attraction to him. I still don't know how that happened.

And you have had another reading comprehension fail. Unless your wife has never slept with you.

One woman who told me "I am old enough to be your mother" with a smile when I approached her after I told her my age. I thought it was a rejection but it wasn't. I missed an opportunity to date an older beautiful woman.

If I recall, it was less, "I'm old enough to be your mother" and more, "I'd eat you for breakfast". The first one could go either way. The second is a pretty likely a green light.
