My experience is just the opposite! Judging people by their looks is very shallow and has more to do with what a person actually values in their own self.
My theory is yes.
Because they have more to lose in life.
Also, I think they are good looking for a reason.
It's your instinct that's been developed for thousands of years telling you whether to like someone or dislike someone from afar.
Of course there are exceptions.
But I think looks can say a lot about a person.
How do they have more to lose in life? This sounds like a lot of projecting on your part, OP. No, of course they're not more trustworthy. If anything, they may be less trustworthy, because they take their good lucks and the potentially credibility that may come with that for granted. Some might be motivated to take advantage of that. Others may be untrustworthy simply due to ego factors involved with their good looks. It could be anything. You could say average-to-plain people are more trustworthy, because they have to be, in order to compensate for their good looks. They have to work harder to establish credibility.

The only thing looks tell you about a person is....how they look.
Glad your theory has worked for you so far...but some of the biggest and cold hearted lias and scam artists...male and female....are gorgeous. They use their looks to disarm their marks.....and don't think they can lose.
Also....what exactly do you mean by they have 'more to lose in life' in the first place......do you really think more typical people are nothing in life worth losing?
