1) Be more careful about getting emotionally attached, particularly to somebody you meet online dating.
2) Don't go out of your way to do nice things if they're not appreciated. Makes you feel resentful and it's unfair to expect appreciation if the recipient hasn't asked you to do nice things for them.
Always put the lady first and when things are going bad put the extra effort in
I agree with your first point it's the same for FWB/flings I usually keep emotions out of it but was quite taken with one last year......... Silly me!.
Although I kinda disagree with your second one........ I can see your point of view it's the same as trying to tell them something when you know it will fall on deaf ears, but personally I LOVE doing nice things for a girlfriend even if I feel they don't really appreciate it as if I were to stop I think it would cause more problems " oh you don't love me anymore " sort of thing.
It might be that this is the one aspect in life where the "easy road" is absolutely the right road.
Totally agree. It shouldn't be a constant struggle. However, maybe I learned this more from my husband than my past relationships. I didn't know that things could be so easy until I met my husband.
