No idea. We weren't there.

Are you talking about a goodbye at the end of a date???

I'm not good at saying goodbyes either. Every time I say goodbye I get anxiety, like I may never see the person again.

My parents still laugh at me about how I wouldn't let my mom leave for work when I was a toddler. So I asked my mom why that was and if she wasn't around much when I was a baby and she said yeah. She still isn't around much so now I struggle with people leaving me and I would rather have a dull relationship overstay its welcome and just let it die out than to cut it off cold turkey.

Maybe you had something similar happen to you when you were a baby.

Most people aren't good at goodbyes the first couple of times they're with someone new, but when you've been with someone for a while it should feel more natural.

Anyway based on what your wrote, sounds like your goodbye was fine, doesn't seem like there's anything to worry about.

I have the same issue with someone I'm just newly dating.

I wish I had 3 "go to", canned replies, but I've only got 1.
Positive: That was fun, let's do this again - how about Saturday?
Negative: never know what to say.
A "meh" date: crickets.

The same here. I don't like goodbyes. And I also suck at ending relationships and cutting off people. I think I should live in a farytale where eveybody is friend with everybody, living happily ever after..

OP, you're overthinking. Relax. As long as she agrees to another date, you're fine.
