If a person, or in this case a love interest, says the following statement "If I wasn't talking to you, I'd be bored", is that likely someone talking to you because they have nothing else to do or are they talking to you because they want to or both? How do you know if someone is talking to you because they're bored versus talking to you because they actually want to talk to you?
If they were engaged in the conversation and it extended for quite a while then I assumed it because they were genuinely interested and enjoyed the conversation... because I'm awesome, how could they not enjoy conversation with me.
