No! Seriously just no. Go out to some social events and talk to women. Craigslist is no place to find love. Its a place where you go out on a date and wake up in a bathtub of ice missing a kidney.

You would do better on here if you insist on using the online thing. A few people have me that way. I met a great woman here, we got married last year to boot.Just be real careful with the online thing.

You must not be keeping up with the rather nasty outcomes for some people dealing on Craigslist. Might want to research that a little.

There are much better, and safer, alternatives for online dating/matchmaking. Try those.

Just the phrase "get a girlfriend" in the question shows me all I need to know. A girlfriend, companion, partner, lover, best friend is what people are looking for, but you don't go out and "get" one. It's not like a partner is something one buys, like a quart of milk, or "gets", as in "get a hammer from the toolbox".
A better question to ask would be "where can I meet single women with whom I might have something in common?", or "where can I meet single women of good character?", or even "where do all the hot single babes hang out on the weekend?" As long as you think of searching for a partner as a matter of "getting" something you will remain without a girlfriend.

And I would say "no", Craigslist is not where you will find a partner, unless it's the type you have to pay for.

Found my wife in the newspaper singles ads but it wasn't exactly the classifieds.

Try different things, not just Craigslist personals. Volunteering, church, places where women can be found. I almost tried a cooking class once.
