With so many posts, "I met this guy/gal at work..." and you know the rest. I'm sure that I'm not the only one here gives the sound advice: Don't date a coworker! Ever! If you don't want to jeopardize your job/career then admire from afar.
If you or your "crush" coworker separates from employment, that's one thing. But one call or report to a supervisor, manager, or HR could ruin your day. It's been said before, it'll be said once more: Don't **** where you eat!

People work with people 8 plus hours a day... it's somewhat natural to develop feelings to certain degree... I personally wouldn't do it, but I can see how it happens.....

My job frowns on it. Though I've had kids' mothers hit on me....Thanks, but no thanks! That is totally a no-no!

I'm glad I've never had this problem and likely never will, at least not on my end.

At the same time, many relationships and even marriages have happened through dating at work.

However, it definitely has the potential to backfire and get awkward. It's why I decided never to date women from classrooms unless she showed SERIOUS interest. I tried doing it one time, and ended up getting so awkward till I dropped the class (for other reasons, not cause of the woman).

Done it. Hugely successful, so YMMV.

When I was a waitress I went out with a waiter I worked with. In fact I asked him to prom. (((Shudders))) Oh my stars!

By the looks of it, many here only have the opportunity to interact with the opposite sex when at work. You take that away, and they got nothing.
