true, in nature most humans are at the end of the life span by the 50 + age
humans were never intended to mate or have offspring at that age, even though some people still do in these modern days, thats not how nature intended it to be.
Thats why they have stuff like Viagra [artificial sexual enhancement drugs], it's natures way of telling the man he's past his sexual prime and should not be breeding / mating.

For starters, as perimenopause begins, progesterone and estrogen levels both drop and therefore testosterone dominates in comparison to the whole, potentially shooting a woman's sex drive through the roof, at least as compared to her sex drive in previous periods during her life.
It's not unusual for women to have kids in their 40's. Some begin to have trouble conceiving, but most keep on trucking, if that's what they and their partner want. It's far from an across-the-board thing. IMO the guys who believe it is are getting their info from online blogs, not from real-life observation. Clearly, they've never known women who give birth (some--multiple times) in their 40's, to say nothing of 50.
I usually go by what I see in my daily life. Lots of couples around of all ages and there are some attractive women beyond 40 as well.

There wouldn't be enough "alphas" to defend and an entire tribe from a large raid of barbaric "regular guys". How would a tribe, with say five strong warriors, stop a pillage of 50 raiders if they really wanted to take all of the goods and the women? That's likely what did happen, well it happened a lot throughout recorded history anyway. The brute force, fight-to-the-death competition probably ended with the women being taken by the fighting force with the largest number, alpha or not.

At least as tribes started getting more aggressive overall. Because in many "group" living type animal situations there is still an alpha who gets the majority of females and sex.
So this may have developmentally been a specifically social as well as physical thing. But comparatively (taking history as a whole) a quite recent one.
