A little crooked is ok, but a straight f*cked up grill, (rotten, missing, decayed),? FORGET ABOUT IT!!! Immediate deal breaker!

I think most of us look for good health in a possible partner. It is a natural selection thing. if someone has teeth that are decayed or missing, it illustrates poor health habits. For me, this would be a deal breaker for a relationship.
As for cosmetics, I would also reject someone whose parents did nothing to correct crooked teeth when they were a child. Not that that is the person's fault, but I still would rather choose a person who had a stable a enough upbringing that their family would have straightened their children's teeth.
I know that some people cannot afford to have missing teeth replaced, but if I see an adult with missing teeth, cannot even look at them.

Good point^^^ When someone has bad teeth, probably 90% of the time its their own fault. When I see that its like someone that is disgustingly fat or doesn't wash, it spells out LAZINESS to me. This isn't the 1940's there's plenty of info out there on keeping your teeth healthy and what's not good for your teeth. It also says to me you don't give a damn about yourself so why should I

For me, oral hygiene is a huge indicator of overall hygiene, and so any signs of cavities/decay/off-colored teeth would turn me off. A crooked tooth or gap here and there? Sure, I'll overlook it if I'm still attracted to the guy, but I can't overlook bad breath due to poor oral health.

Hmm, I do not think so.
I have worked with men who did have strong B.O. and breath. My career field is one that does not allow things like: antiperspirants, cologne, or many toothpastes [there is a long list of illegal contraband items]. I used baking soda up until I retired then I shifted to using H2O2.
I have all of my teeth, no crowns, no tooth decay, they are not discolored. My gums do not bleed, nor are they receding.
There are some things that obviously cause bad breath. Smokers tend to smell. Heavy coffee drinkers who also smoke, sometimes these two combine with a person's body chemistry to bring on serious BO.
When I lived in Scotland, a lot of people there had really disgusting teeth. Hard sugar candy was also very popular. Most people had sugar candy in their mouth all day long. Here stateside I think that is substituted for liquid candy [soda]. Many people are sucking down many cans of sugar-water each day.
I think a lot of tooth decay has to deal with sugar consumption. Sugar in your mouth feeds the bacteria there.
My primary drink is green tea. Green tea, mint, stevia and a little chaga. I can grow it all myself [the chaga is foraged on my land].
We have greatly reduced sugar in our diet that last 10 years.
I have not seen any clue that I would have bad breath.

Just one poin though. My husbands parent took good care of his teeth, including braces for years, when they couldn't afford it. In his adult life he has never missed a dentist appointment, yet he still has a lot of discoloration on his teeth. He is self conscious to project an image of someone who doesn't take care of his teeth. I'm getting him some teeth whitening strips, but don't really think they will work.

Pretty much what's your limit?
I have this on my mind since I went to the dentist today and got some bad news regarding how long it's going to take to get some more work done! Due to what needs to be done the soonest date is May 23! I'm very self-conscious about my teeth and it shows, so it was a bummer for me.
They're actually not THAT bad. Like if you were to refer to me as, "The guy with the ****ed up teeth" I'd think most people would have no idea what you're talking about. I have all my teeth and they're pretty straight (I had braces, kind of slacked off on the head gear part). On the negative side, I also used to like soda a lot (I don't drink it anymore) hence the work that needs to get done!
As for my limit due to not being a complete hypocrite I'm VERY flexible. Actually, I think if a woman's teeth are a little crooked it sets me at ease. I don't do it on purpose, it's just a natural instinct I notice I have haha.

The average cost of a dental implant is what now, like $4k? So 4 teeth missing is like $16k in debt.

Having good teeth and a nice smile are very important to me. It's the #1 physical deal breaker for me if he has bad teeth. I would take a nice smile over nice hair any day.
But if you have nice everything else, that's ok too. I recently met a man who was very handsome (tall, great hair, nice skin, and those eyes...), but he didn't have the best smile. His teeth were not bad, just okay, but he was fine in every other physical department, so that made up for it. On the the other hand, if his teeth were awful, NO WAY.

No need for implants. As I mentioned before they're not THAT bad. Also, this is all getting paid for in cash and by insurance. No way I'm taking on more debt when I don't have to.
Again though this is all off topic and this post just seems like an attempt to **** in my Fruit Loops.

I don't want to kiss a mouth filled with brown rotted stumps
if you smoke and drink lots of coffee, there are things you can and should do to keep the teeth white and clean
its not JUST about attractions, its about what this says about the person...if they don't take care of themselves, why would you want to date them
