I think the article was pretty clear on explaining what they meant.

I hate it when they do this. The title of the article says one thing but the article is actually talking about "nonconforming" women's appeal on OLD and apps. Of course those women would get more attention - they stand out in a saturated marketplace.
Speaking for myself I want someone who can do their part materially and is capable of cooperation in life. They need confidence in themselves and their abilities and a can do attitude along with the ability to plan and follow through. An ability to pick battles in life is a good skill.
Submissive women don't tend to have those qualities. My daughter told me last night I need someone like me, a soldier of life.

File this one under "DUH!"
I think there's something to the fact that it's focused on Internet dating, but I don't think online dating is mostly for weird people now, so.... Besides, I've never heard non-devout or non-crazy men talk about wanting submissive women, who in my opinion are conformist by nature. Since nobody addressed my "quiet" claim, I said it because I've heard negative male opinions about them before and people often think quiet people lack strong beliefs and interesting interests, like conformists do.
luckly my wife is perfectly happy turning complete control over to me in the bedroom
of course she takes ALL control BACK once we leave the room...
Just had an image of a velvet box in your nightstand.
"Okay, honey, now that we're done, don't forget to put your balls away."

Some men like quiet women. Some men prefer animated conversationalists. No sense trying to generalize.
Men prefer women that are physically attractive. Women that are physically attractive feel less social pressure to conform. The people conducting the study found by correlation that men prefer women that are nonconformist. But correlation does not equal causation. All the study really did was confirm that men prefer physically attractive women.

I wonder where you get that from. I don't buy it at all.
