It seems lots of people nowadays seem to be so sexually repressed to express their sexuality to other people.
What do you guys think of this?

I think you don't have enough to do. What do you base this on?

How exactly do you see them as "repressed"?

How many people have you talked to about their sex life?

"Talking to lots of random people about your sex life" is your operational definition of "not being repressed? "

I would argue that that's a poor operational definition.

Compared to Europe? Probably. In some ways.

But this is not the Europe section, it's the relationships forum sooooooo,

How do you find people repressed? And how sexually experienced and open to you consider yourself?

I think people talk about their sex lives all the time, LOL. And everywhere.

Unless by "expressing sexuality" you mean literally having sex? Are you thinking we don't have sex enough? Because I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate too.

OTOH if every woman you want to have sex with won't have sex with you, that doesn't mean she's repressed. It means she selects her sex partners rather than literally just dropping her panties because if she doesn't, oh noes, some random guy she isn't attracted to might tell her she isn't as open as Europeans.

Europeans may be more open to, for example, nudity but that doesn't mean the nudity leads to sex or is courting sex...you may be fantasizing a bit here. Are you envisioning people standing in line at a grocery store in Italy and a man says to a stranger, " I woooood very much like to make luv to you, amore!" and she puts down her orange juice, tampons and gum and leans back against the magazine rack and pulls up her skirt? Because they're all so free and blah blah?

Honestly it is only the concern of myself and Mr. CSD when it comes to our intimate life and it is not something that is discussed with anyone for any reason. Bottom line, none of your business if you are not Mr. CSD so if that makes me repressed so be it. I'm repressed according to some random stranger on a public forum, I suppose I am supposed to feel scared or angry or something right?

It's always wise to keep the imtimate details of your life between you and the person/people you are being intimate with.

You can avoid a lot of drama that way. I don't understand expressing it to other people besides your partner.

I never get why this is always bandied about.

There are some VERY traditional, highly repressed European cultures. It ain't all nude beaches and domestic partnerships.
