Maybe that's why I never hit on an adult when I was a teenager. I wasn't looking for sex. I will soon become a 30 year-old virgin(and yes, I will gladly admit that. To me, it said I know how to control myself).
Hmmm. When one of my ex was 11 he had sex with a 16 year old. When he was 16 he had sex with a 24 year old teacher. It's like a dream for a young teenage boy to sleep with older women.
But the younger party won't care. because the adults will be the ones branded as rapists, ephebophiles, pedophiles, and dehumanized. The adult has more to lose than the kid, or teenager most-likely. So fantasy of sex with an older person trumps everything else.

That is one side of me. On the other hand, a boy could get subjected to paying child support if a pregnancy comes about. That has happened.

I will put it this way my ex enjoyed both experiences immensely. I think something is wrong with the women in question though. What 16 year old would want to take an 11 year old v-card?

I've gotten flack for being a male virgin at my age. It's something I've grown to expect.
I mentioned what I did in reference to the answer about what would possess a teenager to chase adults. And then I started thinking about why I didn't. I tried a few times to get females my own age. Some of them were chasing the older high school boys. Some just weren't attracted to me.
I understand that. But at least with age 18 male and age 37 female, both people are above the age of consent for sex.
However, with one party still under 21, there are a lot of challenges that come up. Can be a nuisance.
While on the spectrum of boyish to manly, I tend to have a preference for boyish. But teenagers look like toddlers. . Even mid-career professional athletes look like kids to me now. Steph Curry is adorable, but I think he looks like a kid.

No seriously though LOL yeah absolutely why not?, I'd encourage any young bloke to go for the older woman even if it's just for a fling or FWB, the knowledge and maturity he would gain in that experience you can't put a price on
