My wife received a book she didn't order. It was a romance novel with an ominous title in which the main male character had the same job position/title/rank as me and a female character had the same name as a city that someone who had a fight with my wife lives in.
I thought nothing of it, in fact, I thought it was kind of funny when it arrived, but it freaked my wife out. Her first question was, "Is there something you need to tell me?" which I assured her nothing was going on.
The paperwork in the package didn't have a payment amount, or who it was from, just the name of the book and "fulfillment center," with a small paper for return if I didn't want it, which I tracked down to a company in GA that sells books. So, I just emailed them with all the info I had just to make sure no one had our account information. Our debit card # had been stolen recently, but that was resolved last week, and the bank isn't showing we paid for this.
I think this has to be a really odd coincidence, but my wife isn't fully convinced. Should I be concerned or laugh it off?
Me, before we got married several years ago. Actually, the main female lead is the name of the town she lived in and the main male romantic interest has my position.
The address it was sent to was actually 1 number off, but it came to us as that was the most accurate.

Coincidence.
Was it addressed to her by name? You said the number was off by one. Maybe it was supposed to go to your neighbor.
It was addressed to my wife. And the book was titled "Fortune Favors the Wicked" which I thought was funny at first.
But she had a long weekend, and we had just driven a lot without much sleep. Probably factored into it.
