Personally, I don't know you, so only you know IF you cheat. Also, the last time I looked this thread wasn't about you, but about men and whether or not being happy has anything to do with whether they cheat or not.
Emotionally and physically abandoning your spouse is dishonest and wrong. What does it say about the wife?
I think both people are scum bags, but only the cheater will get vilified.
This appears to be personal to you, and if so, I am sorry. No one should get married if they are not willing to make it work and yes that applies to both spouses. However, I don't think cheating is right ever. Does it work the same in your eyes if the wife cheats because she feels abandoned or that her needs are not being met?

I have no personal stake.
I am happily married. No cheating in 10+ years, even when times were low.
I just think it's a bit of a double standard to say one person sucks and the other doesn't. Wife or husband. This thread is about men, so I used the hubby-wife dynamic.
One spouse is neglectful for years and the other cheats for 2 months. Who's the bad guy? The 2 month cheater. That's screwed up.
If a man is honest he won't cheat. Happiness has nothing to do with it. Character and integrity does. Cheating has nothing to do with the other spouse. It's a character flaw. Blaming it on not being happy is another character flaw of refusing to take responsibility for your own actions.

You know, the whole "lack of self control being a challenge for men" meme has been debunked in the 21st Century. It is by now understood by most that neither gender has any moral high ground over the other with respect to "cheating". Given opportunity and/or motive, men AND women cheat in roughly equal proportion in their marriages and relationships.

A man is never just happy with 1 woman thay still have to purv over other woman and always downloading naked woman.....
