I blocked my ex from Facebook. I have not heard or seen from him. He has not harassed me. But I keep getting this weird profile when I go to the "people you may know" list. The profile has no friends and no pic. I have a feeling it's him. How can I find out? I heard if someone is on your people you may know list and there are no mutual friends, then it's probably someone spying on you.

Just block him.

No, you can't get him in legal trouble. Showing up as a "friends" suggestion is not harassment or anything nefarious.

Report it to Facebook, tell them your concerns and that's the end of it.

And you lived happily ever after

Just ignore it. Are you still hung up on this guy? If no then ignore it like you would a scammer profile and move on.

He hasn't done anything against the law. Tighten up your settings so that only friends can see what you post. He can search for you all he wants, which might make him pop up on your 'people you might know' list, but he can't actually see anything.

Um but isn't this considered spying/stalking? And the fact that he has a fake alias? This sounds like a crime to me! And also, how do I find out for sure?

Just block that new profile and forget about it. Our prisons are too full as it is.

Contact an attorney and ask them what you can legally do in this situation in regards to stalking laws which may be slightly different from one area to the next.
No one here knows the absolute legalities of the situation and it is against TOS to even hint at giving legal advice.
