This is one of the benefits of being married. My wife opens all of my holiday mail and sends cards to all relevant friends and relatives on the proper occasions. When I was single I would open cards by the fireplace and burn them after reading. Now they get archived and displayed when we are having company.

I'm female and I'm not big on greeting cards. I find them generally cheesy and a waste of money. If words are needed, I write a note instead.

bc they're stupid and pointless

they're either thoughtless (for example a birthday card where someone writes "happy birthday, love x) or they have a nice note written in them-which renders the card itself pointless. just write a nice note.
