Are you OK with your spouse or SO going to a strip club or similar establishment? For both genders.

For my husband and I, we're both in the "yes for special occasions" camp. My husband went to a friend's bachelor party about 5 years ago where there were dancers/strippers, and that was fine. Otherwise he's never been one to go to them, he thinks they're a waste of money. I went to one (male) for my own bachelorette party, and my husband and I went together once when we were dating (female dancers) just to see what it would be like to go as a couple. We're not morally opposed, we just have other things we prefer to do, including entertaining one another !

Last time I went was about 22 years ago. On our trip to Vegas a couple of years ago, MrsCPG wanted to go. I said, sure. But then she chickened out on the sidewalk outside.

I don't have any real moral problems with them. I don't think they're exploitive. The sad truth is that, in truth, they are so boring.

I mean, for the first five minutes, you think to yourself, "Hey! Boobs! More boobs! Lots of boobs!" But then after watching a few minutes of the dancers grinding and twirling around a pole, you look in their glassy eyes and realize they might as well be slapping fenders onto Buicks. It's a job to them. And these poor slobs swilling drinks think that they actually have a shot with Sheena or Amber or whatever her stage name is.

When I was single, the girl next door in my apartment building was a dancer. She was a finance major by day and dancer by night. I worked out of the apartment, so she would come by about once a week and ask me to walk her to the bank. There, she had a safe deposit box where she put her cash. She claimed to have saved more than $100,000, chiefly because she often flew off to places such as Dallas for guest appearances. Her secret? She would dress like a businesswoman or a hot librarian or some sweet country lass complete with straw boater. Men lapped it up. She asked if I ever wanted to see her dance, but I just never did.

And, really, if you can't touch, what exactly is the point? I've got something better waiting on me after last call. As MrsCPG put it, "I don't care where you get your appetite as long as you only eat at home."

I don't have any morality issues with it. I've only been to strip joints a handful of times in my life. I haven't been to one is 23 yrs or so. Even when I was single it was never my thing. As CPG said, it's a job to them and whatever. I just never was into that sort of thing. I was never a huge porno guy either. I guess some guys go to them all of the time, but what for?? I mean they are sausage fests and expensive beers and women just trying to get money out of you for "private dances" or whatever it is they do when they drag you to a secluded area. I'm only reciting what other guys have said, my experiences in them I've never heard of anything like that happening.

Whatever floats people's boats, I guess.

I've don't if a boys night out ends up at a strip club at some point. I haven't been to a male strip club in over 20 years. It's just something to do to run wild for a night. My endurance is down with age.

No problems with it. If I did object to my wife going to one, she would probably cry hypocrisy and have every right to do so.

For a special event like if she's got a hen night or a birthday to attend then why not? If a stag night or a mates birthday comes up I'll probably be going to a strip club at some point

It's all for a laugh

Every day ...... Nah

I had a co-worker and this guy was married with kids and it seemed like every time someone would suggest an after work get together, the first thing out of this guy's mouth was strip joint. I'm like whatever, it actually never happened, we just ended up hitting a sports bar type place.
