I know that mutual compatibility and attraction beyond physical traits are rare, but is it rare for you to find someone physically attractive and they feel the same?

I don't know if I'm picky or just don't see enough people, but meeting someone who I find physically attractive and he finds me attractive as well is hard enough on its own.

Back when I was single and very actively dating, I used to think that finding mutual physical attraction was pretty easy. It was finding a more meaningful connection that was the challenging part.

I'd say it fluctuates... I notice who I attract mostly depends on where I'm @ mentally and what I'm ready for emotionally/physically.. I know what I want, and I don't mind waiting.. I won't settle, and don't I date out of boredom, pity, loneliness, or for validation. . . Time is precious. . . ~ * ~ You just have to be focused + CLEAR about what you want. A real fine specimen always comes in when the time is right..

I find mutual physical attraction every time I see Mr. CSD even if I don't like him very much at that moment and we have a good (in our opinion) solid marriage that has ups and downs like any other couple. We work it out and move forward leaving the past where it belongs.

Yes, that would characterize all the one night stands, FBs and short-term flings I have had.

My serious relationships were all with people I warmed up to over time.

Interesting. My serious ones were almost all people where we had sex the first or second time we met.

The FWBs were people where things came along slowly, and that's I'm guessing why they were FWBs.

Yes FWBs are different, because we started as platonic friends and became intimate much later, usually because we both found a window of being single at the same time.
