This is something that happened about ten years ago when I was working in between jobs at a major retail store. I am only going to put the Part 2 in this post. Don't worry, I will add parts 1 and 3 immediately after, but understand that Part 2 is the only thing I knew of, or considered, for a while.
PART 2
I was working with a young lady in the same department. We were restocking items that had been pulled by customers, returns, etc, and not yet placed back. We each worked in different areas until later in the evening when we both drifted to the clothing department after hours, putting back articles of clothing and other accessories, etc. Anyway, she was crouched on the ground near me. When she got up she acted like she was having trouble and she reached out and grabbed something. She touched something through the articles of clothing. She started to apologize profusely, saying that she was not trying to come on to me. It didn't really make sense as far as her gesture. But I just laughed and told her not to worry. No big deal.
QUESTION: I liked her. How should I have proceeded?
I will put the other parts of the story in a separate post, but I wanted responders to consider it with this information, because it was all I had to go on for a while.
She and another guy used to sort of hang around and joke a lot together. He was dating someone else. They were both more extroverted. Anyway, a few days or weeks later the same exact thing happened with this guy! She said exactly the same thing she had said to me. He responded with something kind of humorous but more perverted than I would have said. Her response was like, oh my gosh really?? And she laughed at the idea that she had accidentally turned him on or something. But I was the only witness to the previous gesture with me.
PART 1
Several weeks or months earlier, she had gotten into some kind of confrontation with a customer who had tried to hit on her. She got angry and had someone at the store talk to the customer I think. I don't know how it was resolved. But I was there. At the time I think she knew I some a little attracted to her. This incident might have made her look a little "prudish" and less attractive maybe. I'm not sure. This is just a guess. If so, then I wondered if she came on stronger as a result of this prior incident. Perhaps thinking she was unapproachable?
Sounds like a sexual harassment suit waiting to happen. She baits you< you take it < sued/reported/police report.
She honestly sounds unstable and crazy, tbh. If I was interested in a guy I would ask him for drinks and take a normal approach.
No way. Maybe if she was someone I didn't like. But why treat someone like this who I was attracted to? Plus, she apologize as if it were an accident. Even if I had gotten offended and reported it nothing would have happened because it was clearly designed to look like an accident.
It's like almost every woman you encounter is either on her knees or crouched in front of you
