Last night was a good night for friskiness. Followed by snuggles and Farscape before bed. Sex and space muppets, yeah baby!

The Muppets from Space was one of the worst installments. Love me some Gonzo, but hard pass.

OK true enough. Have you seen Farscape? We got all of them on bluray recently and I am really loving this show. I am a fan of Henson Studios anyways, especially the weirder stuff (like not necessarily Muppets, but Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock) so getting into a Sci Fi show for adults but with these gorgeous practical effects and puppets is a rare joy for me. I had no idea what it even was, my boyfriend got me into it. God I love being with a geeky guy. He's shared so many delightful things with me that I might have never discovered on my own...

For anyone who HAS seen Farscape, I think my favorite...character?...puppet?...all of the above?... is Pilot.

I watched a few, couldn't hang. Dark Crystal I love. Firefly I love. But couldn't hang with Farscape.

Huh.

Well, I admit, the main character was pretty insufferable early on (like a guy-bimbo...but he definitely gained layers and character later in the show) and Rygel is downright irritating and never truly stops being that way.

Also whoever made the theme music should be stopped before they make any more terrible life choices.

But there's a lot to love about the show. It took me a minute but I'm pretty hooked.

Of course, my priorities in TV and film, tend to revolve around visual effects. Some folks get all into characters and plot twists and storylines and such, I'm all about TV & film as visual art. Did you see The Shape of Water? That's also the kind of thing...the colors and light in some of Guillermo Del Toro's movies... Just makes me so damn happy. Crimson Peak was amazing that way, too. In addition to being total "House Porn." That woodwork...le sigh...

Well, I'm pro bimbo (male and female) so that wasn't it

I have not seen the Shape of Walker. Honestly, I haven't had a TV for decades, and while I do some Netflix, I try to keep it to a minimum so its rare I delve into new stuff. Though, I was turned on to The Expanse recently and am liking it.

You ever have that thing happen where your eyes dart across a bit of text and insist on seeing it as something other than it is, every blessed time?

I keep scrolling by this one thread title: "How to forget my jerk ex bf?"

And my brain is momentarily quite certain it says, "Forgot how to jerk my ex bf off?" and I have that moment of "wait what" but no, it never actually says that. I don't want to share this thought on the actual thread, because that poor girl seems to be hurting and I am not trying to make light of her emotional situation or anything.

My brain though. What is wrong with it, I sometimes wonder.

Yeah! I do that too. Last night I did something so embarrassing though, I have a male friend, he's very orderly and almost obsessive about cleanliness. He makes his lunch for work the next day, same thing, same order, for many years. I texted: "I'm making my lunch for tomorrow, same thing I had today, I think I might even make 2 of the same, then I can skip it one night." He replied: "Now I'm rubbing off on you." I got kind of mad/startled, and texted without thinking about it: "What the hell?! Why would you even tell me that."

...oh, that's not what he meant.

Oh my god. I'm sitting at my desk at work trying not to laugh out loud. That's hilarious.

I need to stay away from the POC forum for a bit. The complete and utter lack of logic on display along with the nasty vitriol is doing nothing for my blood pressure. I'll trade that cesspool for the relationships cesspool I guess.

This forum doesn't raise my blood pressure as much, at least the lack of logic here is tolerable.
