Part of being an adult is waiting until we are near death before going to a doctor.

I wanted to let him choose his present. NO CANDY!
Besides... I kind of did. I bought him ( the farm) a new ( slightly used ) 4x4 pick up truck to replace the POS that he was currently using that the odds of it even starting were pretty high. You could see the ground through the floor, Smell a strong odor of gas and exhaust and the driver door would pop open if you hit a good bump. Lol
It sounds like you are a very good, kind, caring boss, Sydney ...

When some folks go to bed with heart problems, some don't wake up. I suggest having a checkup from a skilled cardiologist/surgeon, Rbccl...
That's good news. Knowing what you want and going for it is a blessing. I sorta fell into my industry and even at my age if someone asked me what my dream career job would be, I still couldn't really answer. So.... at your age and having a plan and a path to something that interests/excites you is a great thing.
Go find one of those thankful threads and post that.

I have been working for the same origination for 19 years. Been at my current position for 6 years. Last summer I was promoted to specialist. So I have that going for me, which is nice.
Thanks guys for the wonderful and sweet messages. I'm pretty confident things are going to go really well for me in this journey towards my masters. I believe I got this new job for a reason and I'm glad I did.

Rbccl (Mom ) I hope you feel better soon and it's nothing serious. I have heart palpitations when I lie on my right side at night. I actually have to take a beta blocker and water pill due to hypertension (genetic). So I know how it feels when your heart is acting funny.

Thanks.
The care takers are more like family than employees. They’ve been here for as a long as I can remember and
my grandparents willed them a place to live for as long as they live. Andre.... the hand, is like my little brother, from another mother. Lol
Thanks.

Good, honest, kind family members are always a blessing...

Congratulations on your Career Lightbulb Moment! It feels like a relief, to have a goal and a plan, doesn’t it? I need schedules and routines and goals or feel lost at sea. You’d be a great asset as a school counselor, mine was completely out of touch, I could’ve used someone relatable to talk to at that time.

Aw! I’m proud to be your internet Mom. Heh! Send me your address so I can include you in my Xmas card list. I start next week, I’m overcome by the Spirit of The Watercolor Pencil til sometimes 3am.
And yeah, ^bp meds and palpitations seem to go together. Unfortunately it gets less scary so the urgency to do anything else about it lessens.
