I dont do FB or other social media, so I do accept friend requests here. I guess I'm a simpleton in that regard. IRL if someone wanted to be friends I find it hard to refuse, it doesn't mean they get to sleep over.

When I sent someone a friend request once and they didn't accept it, I thought that wasn't very nice. Ha

I didn't accept "Ban" bc I agree with their name, I was curious to see what their story was. Apparently 81 others were too.

Is there a haiku for that?

I accept friend requests here only if it's someone I know and have interacted with. I don't know what the benefit of the friend thing is, other than to see someone's private profile, but I rarely look at anyone's profile, even my own.

To secret neg-repper: I only un-friended someone who wasn't acting like a friend. NBD.

I must be the only one who didn't get one.

One time a guy here mistakenly DM'd me instead of someone else he was obviously in the middle of a conversation with -- don't ask me how -- and had some pretty disturbing comments of what he would like to do to this particular woman they were discussing who had somehow "wronged" him. It was of a violent nature, not sexual. Not sure if he was serious or not. I must have informed him he had the wrong person (should have left it alone), and he apologized. I said fine and let it go. Next thing you know, he's friend-requesting me! Can you believe the huevos?!

Anyway, so I accepted his request and -- no, I'm kidding. His was one of a very few I didn't accept. Usually the ones I get requests from are posters I already know.

Hahaha! I probably would have, I find crazy people fascinating. I like to figure them out, in case I'm ever on the wrong end with them.

It's fun that he's excited! What if his whole attitude changes and he comes back posting here like: "Ain't love Grand? 😍"
