This woman sent me a message on this dating site and then suggested we chat on Whatsapp? Is that what people do now after chatting online? I was thinking she was a fake person because why not just move to the phone if there is a mutual attraction?
Some people like to chat. If they use an app I don't, I'm not about to install and learn a new one just for them. Maybe after a few, good dates, but not before we've even met. There is this thing called a telephone, that works even better sometimes!

It may be a thing now. Is this woman <25 years old? I don't use any of these messaging apps. Why not just IM on the dating site or text? That's what I did before moving to phone conversations.
