Sounds like a time management issue. It can also be done before bed.

I already have another 1000 things to do before bed. I tried staying up later but need more than 5-6 hours of sleep. I have way more on my plate than one person can physically do. I need an assistant but can't afford to pay one and have not found any volunteers.

30 minutes!
I guess one slows down as they age. I started getting up 15 minutes earlier just to get the stuff done I once did in 45 minutes. I don't even feed all the animals in the a.m. now, only have one kid at home and we barley get to the bus stop on time.

I feel like a rushing lunatic in the morning. I tried getting up earlier but it is hard enough getting up at 5:15. I have a 10 minute drive to the bus stop. I often wish that I had just a bit of help, or if I could accomplish more personal stuff while at work.

How old are your kids? Can't they do some chores?

Lol! You might be on to something. I have had guys that I supported but they still worked, just spent their money on their wants... Maybe I need one that does not work, but happy to take care of the house.

Why not get off the internet right now and wipe the counter?

I am not being snotty. I FULLY get that there is much more to housework than those who really don't have to do it (or the majority) seem to think there is. But...literally wipe a counter? You are already there in the bathroom, or the kitchen. I wipe out my sink and wipe the counters while I'm preparing food...and yes, if you have no time to do that and are just popping a microwave dinner in, you're still right there, and so is the rag. I wipe up the bathroom counter of all the disgusting leavings my children like to gift me so graciously, after I have brushed my teeth or while my bath is running for one of the kids. You're standing right there. Pick up a rag.

This is one of the LEAST labor-intensive duties to running a household. There are some doozies and they're exhausting and they definitely wait and wait for their turn - often, weeks; but this chore is not among those.

Another good point. The kid can't pick up a rag?
