You are asking strangers to pick out a gift for a guy you have been intimate with for two years?

No, I'm asking what they gave/ received. I'm not looking for anyone to pick anything for me.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. I wouldn't even bring the subject up, if it were me.

The biggest and best gift for each other would actually be each other and spending the time together

Nice lavish dinner, a lovely romantic weekend away etc

We've been together 9 years now, never really bothered celebrating them.
Sometimes we will have a date night, others it will just be mentioned in the passing.

Your relationship should be about every day, not just special days

I receive a new gf, Lol.

Half of my relationships don't last two years, and if it did, its not something I mark on my calendar

If you want a gift, then give one. He may not want to be saddled with finding something to satisfy your need for attention. Besides, you're only dating.

Keep it simple or you'll be upping the ante every year. It's hard enough keeping up with birthdays, etc. Dinner out or a special meal at home is usually enough.

Don't get greedy.

Whenever I need a small gift I give my wife chocolate, specifically Dairy Milk chocolate imported from the UK. I never gave dating anniversary gifts of any sort, though.
