I have come to find out that just about everyone is boring. I use to think that everyone else was leading interesting lives, but that's not really true. I mean, there's moments of excitement here and there, but for the most part... we are all doing the same boring chores and mundane task, just adultin' and lifin'.

Pretty much. Yes, some people might be funnier and more outgoing than others, but I don't consider them "exciting." Rockstars are exciting.
I find the exact opposite. It's the people that are seizing life, doing art, travel, mountaineering, creating music, etc that are "single", as in not in monogamous relationships (that's more to be exact), they juggle multiple rather casual lovers at the same time. Most cool women I know have 2-4 things going on at a time, none really serious, or one serious and the rest not.
I've met a few people who were outdoorsy and liked traveling. They were kind of boring to talk to. They were not quirky or witty.
Of course, one can still be cynical and even dark or morbid, and still live life passionately. They are not mutually exclusive, quite the opposite.
The only people I've found really boring to date/talk to, as a group, are the chronic homebody crowd.
Weird. A lot of people that are "I go out every Friday and Saturday " types bore me to death. They only care about drinking and talking about lame topics. No originality. There are probably better people in more intelligent cities.

You said "chronic homebody" crowd are the most boring. I'm disagreeing and saying that the "I go out a lot on weekends" crowd is the most boring. The chronic homebody types tend to be introverts, and they have a lot to offer if you take the time to get to know them. They're usually intelligent and sometimes funny or quirky in cute ways.
