I met someone from a dating site and she is 10 years older than me. We had dinner together and we to a bar next door. We kissed and held hands. But there is an age difference. Previously, I have dated someone who was 13 years older than me, and I dated someone who was 6 years older than me. Honestly, I like to date women who are older than me. Has anyone dated someone who is significantly older. Please share your experiences. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Since you had no qualms dating up 13 years, why are you concerned with dating up 10 years???

At 39, a ten-year age difference isn't really that much.

You're 2 consenting adults. You can do whatever you'd like and if this is what you want, I see no reason not to.

I dated two women who were about 13 years older than me. One of them broke up with me after a few months, because she was concerned about the age difference. The other person dated me for over a year, and just became friends. She was interested in me, but I think she is too busy taking care of her children and grandchildren to be in a relationship.

I also dated a woman who is 6 years older than me. We dated for three months but she broke up with me in June. She just turned 46 years old earlier this month.

If you dated someone 13 and 6 years older, why would you ask if it is OK to date a woman 10 years older?
Who cares what the age difference is as long as it's legal.

Ask yourself:

* whether you'd be asking this question if you were 49 and she were 39.
* if you're happy so far dating women who are "older" (again, if you were the one six years older, would you even be pointing to this as "older," in your age group especially?).

Between the two, you have your answer.

It's OK with me, if you are asking permission, although I can't guess why you would think you need permission from anyone.
